How Knowing More About Dip Tubes Can Keep you From Having Cold Showers

Curved Dip Tubes

The curved dip tube was invented to help keep sediment under control. The bottom end of the tube is curved to allow a swirling motion around the bottom of the tube. New sediment cannot form because it is always in motion in swirling water. You may always add a curved dip tube to an existing water heater. Ask any plumber about this. With straight dip tubes, only the area on the heater directly underneath the tube gets cleaned from sediment. A simple flush may not help remove much hardened sediment. The bottom of a water heater is generally a dome shape and gets sediment stuck in a ring shape around the bottom edge. If you have the curved dip tube installed and open the drain valve at the bottom, sediment may be washed out. Simply open the drain valve and make sure the cold water line is open. Let the water run through and out the drain valve for five minutes at least. This will reduce a good portion of sediment inside your tank. If you would like to install a curved dip tube yourself, here’s how. Unscrew the cold water outlet line. Insert the handle end of a plastic set of pliers in the inlet. Twist and pull up at the same time to get the dip tube exposed. Scrape any rust away if your having a hard time removing the dip tube. Pull the dip tube all the way out. Take the new curved dip tube and mark the direction the curve is pointing at the top on the nipple. Wrap the threads of the nipple with teflon tape eight times. Insert the curved dip tube and be sure that you point it in a direction to allow it to swirl the water at the bottom of the tank. Also note that when buying a new water heater, ask if the tank comes with a curved dip tube, because they make some that do. If the tank does not, consider one that does.

Curved dip tubes should be the first thing to ask a plumber about if you think you have a sediment problem in your water heater.

Damaged Dip Tubes

If your dip tube has broken or fallen off, cold water will enter at the top of the water heater and immediately leave through the hot water outlet. The result is a very short and cold shower. A new dip tube needs to be installed. I suggest a curved one.

Standard Dip Tubes

A dip tube is a piece of plastic pipe that is attached to the cold water inlet of your water heater. It takes the cold water from the top of the tank to the bottom of the tank. Hot water naturally flows on top of cold water and flows to the top of the tank. Therefore, hot water should be the first water that flows out of the hot water outlet on top of the tank. If your dip tube has broken or fallen off, cold water will enter at the top of the water heater and immediately leave through the hot water outlet. The result is a very short and cold shower. Commercial water heaters do no generally have dip tubes but instead have a cold water inlet that allows water to enter the heater near the bottom. Mobile homes and foreign countries also may have the same arrangment as the commercial water heater.

Printer Ink Cartridges: – how much do they really cost

If you are a frequent printer user, every month you propably spend a considerable amount of money on printer cartridges, whether you have an inkjet printer that uses printer ink cartridges or a laser printer that uses toner cartridges. These printer cartridge costs can add up to huge amounts especially on the long run. If you want to save on ink cartridge costs, you need to first figure out how much you are actually spending on your printer cartridges each month. If you believe it’s time to take action and start saving on printer cartridges, you should first calculate how much printing really costs you each month. Calculating the monthly cost of printer ink or toner cartridges you spend is easy. I strongly recommend you to do the same calculation before you purchase a new printer too.

“Cost of ownership” per month is one of the most important factors to consider when buying a new

printer as you will regularly need to purchase printerink or toner cartridges for your laser or inkjet printer. This is especially importantif you have an inkjet printer. Generally, inkjet printers’ cost per page is higher than laser printers’ cost per page. The reason for this is that the ink cartridges need more frequent replacement. The cost per page will generally be lower with the expensive high-end laser printers beacuse they hold bigger printer cartridges that do not require as often replacement. Inexpensive printers can end up costing you more because of their high ink cartridge costs.

You can simply calculate the printing cost per page by dividing the printer cartridge price by the yield. Yield is the number of pages that one printer cartridge can

print. For example, if the price of an Canon ink cartridge is $33.95 and its yield is 700 pages, then its cost per page will be $33.95/700=$0.048 (4.8 cents per page).

For calculating the monthly cost of ownership, the rule is easy. Multiply “number of prints per month” with the “cost of the toner or ink cartridge” and divide it by “the yield of the toner or ink cartridge”.

For example, let’s assume that you print 300 black pages per month using an Epson printer cartridge that yields 400 pages and costs $26. The monthly “cost of ownership” is:(400 pages) x ($26) divided by 300 pages = $35

If you want to lower your cost per page, consider different cartridge alternatives like the recycled reman or compatible discount ink cartridges or ink refill kits.

Denim Jeans in European Market

Denim jeans and Europe seem to be made for each other. The relationship goes back a long time. In fact the very word jeans come from a type of material that was named after sailors from Genoa in Italy. The word denim is from another French material serge de nimes.

The end of the Second World War was the time when denim blue jeans gained new status in Europe. Rugged yet relaxing they stood for freedom and a great future. Both men and women wore them. In Europe the surplus Levi’s jeans left behind by American armed forces were now available in limited supplies. They were extremely popular with teens.

The 60’s saw the coming in of slim jeans. They were extremely popular as leisurewear. Teens began to have real fun with them. The 70’s saw the bell-bottoms hitting their peak. Creativity flourished as far as denim jeans go. Customized denim embroidery made an appearance, so too did stud and patched jeans, giving jeans an all new glamorous appeal.

Designer jeans were literally everywhere in Europe and were a symbol of the affluence and status of the society. Leading designer labels flooded the market in the 80’s. Acid wash debuted in 1986 in Europe and took the market by storm. The 90’s heralded the advent of a generation that was more concerned with old-fashioned values, environment and family life.

Jeans has been reinvented from time to time and the new millennium is no different. You can see every major designer coming out with fabulous denim jeans wear. You can find them at catwalks, at chloe, at Versace and at literally every fashion festival. The latest trends like the beaded and the beat-up denim jeans are a rage among youth. So too are torn-knee blue jeans which can be found globally these days, why only Europe.

The coming in of the internet also had its impact on denim jeans in Europe, as in the other part so of the world. You could instantly find and shop for the latest jeans from numerous online resources. This meant that the consumer had a greater choice and need not compromise on quality of the jeans. Freed of all creative restrictions the denim jean is assuming numerous disguises to be worn in and has literally broken every barrier of creativity. From being part of cushions to furniture-coverings to bed spreads, denim has made it presence felt, every where.

Digital Signage – Why Viewing Angle is So Important

There are a whole host of challenges in placing a screen in an outdoor location; sunshine, the weather, temperature, not too mention location and networking the screens together. And while all these aspects to outdoor screens are highly important, there is one area that can often get overlooked but is highly important and shouldn’t be underestimated – the angle.

Obviously location is a key aspect of maximising viewership, but with outdoor digital signage, location can be restricted due to planning regulations and the need to keep thoroughfares clear.

But by optimising viewing angle you can make the most of the location you have and increase viewership.

When it comes to the angle of a screen, there are two key points to consider. The angle the screen is facing and the natural viewing angle of your audience.

Audience Viewing Angle

The audience viewing angle is the natural angle that people’s eyes will fall upon when approaching an object (such as an LCD screen). Depending on the size of the screen, there will be a zone of about 15-25 feet from the sign where the content will be readable, so the sign needs to be viewable in this area.

Obviously eye-level would be the best position for the screen and would maximise the viewership as your audience approached; however, this is not always possible, especially with ceiling mounted digital screens (which have to be high enough so people don’t bang their head).

Screen Tilt Angle

To maximise the effectiveness and length of viewing time of a screen mounted high up, the screen angle can make huge differences. A flat screen, that may be clearly viewable at a good distance away, will become difficult to see closer in, and therefore, will probably be not as effective as a screen that is tilted to meet the audience’s viewing angle.

A tilted angle can increase view time

LCD Enclosures – mounting options

LCD enclosures are a very versatile method fo mounting digital signage displays. Commonly they are used for outdoor screens as they protect against weather elements but because of the versatility in the mounting options they are also ideal for ceiling mounted digital signage in that the display can be tilted to the optimum angle – increasing view time and viewership.

Contracts for Differences Explained

As the name suggests, Contracts for difference (CFD) is an agreement entered upon by two parties, whereby they decide to exchange the difference between the opening price and the closing price of a stock. Contracts for difference (or CFDs as they are sometimes referred to) mirror the performance of a share or an index. Contracts for difference (CFDs) can be traded on equities (shares), index trades, FOREX and commodities. Contracts for difference allow investors to take long or short positions, and unlike futures contracts have no fixed expiry date, standardised contract or contract size. Contracts for difference are traded on margin, and the profit/loss is determined by the difference between the buy and the sell price. Contracts for difference (CFDs) are instruments that offer exposure to the markets at a small percentage of the cost of owning the actual share. Contracts for difference provide an excellent vehicle for short term trading strategies and are the preferred vehicle amongst hedge funds and professional traders. You should be aware, there are two different types of contracts for difference providers, one is more like a traditional spread better where you are trading with the CFD provider and have to trade on their prices. With the other provider, your contracts for difference orders or more strictly the hedge for your CFD orders is sent directly to the LSE order book.

WHY CFD’s

CFD trading is growing in popularity increasingly quickly, asretail investors recognise their benefits. CFDs use the power of leverage to trade which is one of the key reason they are such a powerful tool. CFDs give the owner the benefits of share ownership without physical ownership of the underlying security. Contracts for Difference are strictly for the active trader, someone who is skilled enough to use the flexibility and agility these holdings offer. CFD’s are traded in a similar way to ordinary shares. CFD brokers are now mostly online and use electronic platforms, which makes the trading routine a lot faster. CFDs can also be used for hedging and so can also reduce overall portfolio risk. CFDs can be used for short selling, Margin Lending does not allow this. CFDs tend to carry a lower interest rate component than Margin Lending. CFDs are short term trading instruments while Margin Lending is more for medium to long term investment strategies.

CFD BROKERS

CFD brokers are now mostly online and use electronic platforms, which makes the trading routine a lot faster. If you already know about CFD, you might be interested in finding CFD Brokers near you. Some brokers, use real prices with no hidden charges added to the bid/offer spread, and fees are levied separately. Others claim to offer commission-free trades, but the cost is usually factored into the spread.  To find the best broker feel free to visit our website at CFD FX REPORT or email support@cfdfxreport.com

What Numbers to Use for Phone Verified Craigslist Accounts

Have you recently been forced to create phone verified Craigslist accounts, then it is best to find out what numbers you can and can’t use. Not every single kind of phone number is compatible with the verification system that Craigslist has introduced to try and control spam on their classified site.

As already mentioned, Craigslist does not support every kind of phone number. This was done with the main purpose of trying to stop, or at least prevent, people from abusing the verified account system. Only a few kinds of numbers are truly compatible with Craigslist. Phone numbers that have been stated to officially work with Craigslist are standard landline and cell phone numbers. However, when you take a look in details at which specific kind of numbers are supported, In reality there is much more to it than just this. There are many cell phone companies which will not work. Prepaid cell phone sims are the main culprit and do not work. Of course, Craigslist does not mention or state this anywhere on their website.  It is easy to understand why this is the case because Craigslist is aware that some users will buy them just to make phone verified Craigslist accounts. Furthermore, VOIP landlines will also not work. VOIP numbers are also blocked because Craigslist most likely considers that they are too easy to get access to due to their low price and will be abused by people just to verify accounts.

If you are looking to make your own phone verified accounts, you will have to make sure that whatever number you use does not fall under the category of being VOIP or some kind of prepaid cell phone network.  If you are unsure, generally speaking disposable or instant type phone numbers will more than likely not be compatible.
